Systems Integration
With over three decades of experience in developing and using cutting-edge logistics and supply chain planning and execution systems, Cekriya Solutions is ideally positioned to use this expertise to help our clients with successful supply chain system implementations.
Our methodology involves thorough requirements gathering followed by drafting detailed functional specification, which drives the technical specifications to complete the analysis phase. We then coordinate development and Conference Room Pilots (CRP) to ensure development is aligned with requirements. Quality Assurance involves unit, system, and integration testing using industry-standard quality control tools. Appropriate go-live activities including conversion and cut-over, hypercare during stabilization, and handover to production support for sustainment are executed to ensure successful completion and transition.
Operations Assessment
At a tactical level we review distribution and transportation operations for process improvement opportunities.This involves data collection and analysis targeted at improving specific KPIs.
Within a distribution center we can identify opportunities to improve storage and picking efficiencies to improve order fill rate and lower fulfillment cost. We can also evaluate incorporation of Lean and Six Sigma methods into distribution operations. For transportation operations we can analyze existing mode mix for mode shift, identify opportunities for zone skip and pool consolidation, transload option for inbound shipments from overseas, etc.
Strategic Planning
Some of the strategic questions we helped organizations answer are in the space of distribution and transportation network design. We analyze shipper networks to conduct scenario modeling and ROI analysis and evaluate impact of new distribution centers or closure of existing distribution centers on the overall service parameters.
For carriers, we evaluate their lanes to identify dedicated contract carriage opportunities and thereby help setup shipper agreements. We also identify opportunities for improving asset utilization for carriers.
Logistics Infrastructure
Considering the growing need for mature logistics infrastructure in India to support burgeoning eCommerce and quick commerce markets, we invested in commercial real estate in South India with the plan for a logistics park.
We are in the planning stage for the first site in the Minjur area of Chennai which is strategically located beside Phase 2 of Outer Ring Road with connectivity to Ennore and Gattupalli ports and metro area of Chennai. With a CFS or ICD in this area, freight from containers can be destuffed and stuffed into city vehicles for shipping to residential and industrial areas.
